I helped build RecoBuddy into a real platform.

I’m Kevin Merlika, a full-stack developer focused on building serious digital products. RecoBuddy is a project I worked on as a developer, where I contributed across mobile apps, backend systems, real-time functionality, payment flows, and production-minded delivery.

The project

RecoBuddy is a product I contributed to as a developer. My role was not about owning the brand or originating the idea. My role was about helping turn the product into something real, usable, and technically solid.

Fast product experience

I worked on flows designed to feel fast and practical, especially in moments where users need help quickly and the product cannot feel slow or messy.

🛡️

Trust-oriented execution

My contribution focused on building product behavior that feels more reliable, safer, and cleaner for actual usage rather than demo-only presentation.

🏗️

Serious implementation

I approached the work with production thinking, maintainable structure, and proper engineering discipline so the platform could mature beyond a rough concept stage.

Milestones I contributed to

My work on RecoBuddy covered multiple layers of the platform, from product experience and application logic to real-time behavior, payment-related flows, and production-focused implementation.

01 — Product flow

Helping shape usable platform behavior

I contributed to structuring important user and driver flows so the experience felt clearer, more consistent, and closer to how a real service platform should behave.

02 — Mobile apps

Building out the mobile experience

I worked on mobile-side implementation with attention to usability, screen hierarchy, interaction quality, and a more premium-feeling UI without losing practicality.

03 — Backend systems

Implementing the logic behind the product

I contributed across backend flows and platform behavior so the app could support real service scenarios instead of just looking polished on the surface.

04 — Real-time features

Improving live interactions across the platform

I worked on the real-time side of the experience so platform activity felt more responsive, synced, and useful in live situations between both sides of the product.

05 — Payment flows

Contributing to secure product handling

I worked on payment-related implementation and trust-oriented product behavior to help the platform feel more structured and dependable for actual use.

06 — Deployment mindset

Supporting production-minded delivery

My contribution also extended into deployment and technical delivery work, with a focus on cleaner environments, maintainability, and getting the platform closer to production readiness.

What this says about my work

This project reflects how I like to contribute: serious implementation, strong ownership of technical work, and the ability to operate across multiple layers of a product instead of staying boxed into one narrow area.

“I’m at my best when I can help turn a product into something real, usable, and technically solid across frontend, backend, and live system behavior.”
